Torrey C. Brown, MD Dr. Brown received his BA from
Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL, in 1957, and his MD degree
from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, in 1961. He has
extensive experience in new biotechnology product development
and in bringing novel technologies to market.
Dr. Brown is a former CEO and current chair of Family Health
International, a well known, not-for-profit contract research
organization that provides expertise in the design and
management of clinical studies for FDA approval internationally.
In addition to biotech expertise, Dr. Brown was an elected
Delegate to the Maryland Legislature for 12 years and served as
the Chairman of the House of Delegates, Environmental Matters
Committee.
Dr. Brown is a former Assistant Dean at the Johns Hopkins
Medical School, and currently holds an Associate Professor
appointment at the same University. Dr. Brown was among the
founders of Intralytix and has been the company's President and
CEO from 1998 to 2001 at which time he became the Chairman of
the Board.
