Mr. Hervy is an entrepreneur and experienced CEO of small to large corporations. Following his MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, in 1974, he joined Thomson, SA an international industrial group and became, until 1984, the President and CEO of Thomson CGR Medical Corporation, a medical imaging company with sales of over $100 million and 1300 employees. In
1985, Mr. Hervy acquired Sopha Medical Systems, Inc., a nuclear medicine
company. As Sopha’s Chairman and
CEO, as well as its entrepreneur and principal owner, Mr. Hervy executed a
successful turn around and growth plan by the time he sold it in 1988. He
is also the Chairman of Paragon BioServices, Inc. (a molecular biology service
company), Intralytix, Inc. (an infectious disease bioscience company), and CES
Coal Recovery,LLC (a synthetic fuel operation). As part of his community involvement, Mr. Hervy also served as a founding trustee of the Maryland Venture Capital Trust and currently serves as chairman of MDBio, Inc., and as a trustee of St. Mary’s College of Maryland and of the Wildfowl Trust of North America. |
